Anthony Martin – New York
Global CEO
Anthony is Global CEO with responsibility for driving the global vision for BAMM. He started his career in advertising working across a range of sectors including automotive, FMCG, retail, and media. He co-founded BAMM in 2007, to provide clients with actionable insight, creatively expressed. Over the past 10 years he’s combined the latest thinking on behavioural economics, storytelling, brand and product innovation to provide his clients with competitive advantage. He’s developed long standing global relationships with brands including HSBC, Unilever, Shell and Nike. His passion is delivering multi market studies which provide a grounded insight into actual consumer behaviour to drive growth.
Matt Baker – London
Head of Creative
Matt is one of the founding partners at BAMM. He helps run the UK office, whilst supporting creative output from both New York and London. He began his studies in Psychology, before working in ad strategy, working at M&C Saatchi, WCRS and W+K. In 2000 he left to pursue his passion in photojournalism. This is where the idea of Visual Thinking was born. In 2007 he co-founded BAMM with Anthony. His expertise lies in discovering deeper insight within visual culture. Over the last 15 years, he's helped clients ranging from Nike to Google to understand opportunities from within consumer culture.
Ed Garey – London
Managing Director
Ed became Managing Director of BAMM in 2016, having spent 3 years leading the insight team. Prior to joining BAMM, Ed spent 6 years running a successful research and innovation consultancy, spearheading the development of online qualitative and co-creation methodologies. Alongside running the operational side of the business, Ed manages some of BAMM’s largest accounts, including Shell and Unilever, where he uses all his experience to deliver concise, impactful presentations that drive real change across the client’s organisation. Outside work, he can be found experimenting with new recipes for family and friends, or being slightly too competitive at school sports day.
Mark Potts – London
Chief Strategic Officer
Mark joined BAMM in 2019. He helps clients multi-layer data, research, and cultural insights to drive strong strategic planning. Before joining BAMM, Mark built out and led Mindshare's Business Planning & Insights teams in North America, where he established the agency's data science team and advised clients from Unilever, to American Express, to Facebook. Mark previously worked at The Henley Centre, within their econometrics unit. He has a passion for the social sciences and good storytelling.
Sonia Skins – Shanghai
Insight Consultant
Sonia is a bilingual insight strategist and visual ethnographer. A native Mandarin Chinese speaker with a doctorate in design ethnography, she has tackled complex design and innovation challenges for top global consultancies such as Seymourpowell, as well as for some of the world’s most renowned brands, including Pernod Ricard, Danone, McDonald’s and Shell. Sonia’s mix of academic roots and her experiences of working in both Asia and Europe give her a unique edge for spotting culturally and visually impactful behaviours and trends. Since joining BAMM in 2012, Sonia has worked on everything from truckers, to beer, to new mums – inspiring future strategies for brands in China.
Jessica Jorgensen – London
Research Director
Jess joined BAMM in 2020 as a Research Director. She has a 13 year background developing strong strategic output based in ethnographic research and insights. She has a particular passion for contemporary culture in emerging markets, aligning global strategy with market nuances for multinationals across leisure, alcohol, media and apparel. Outside the office, Jess is an adventure motorbike rider and entomophagy-activist, dreaming of rolling plains while starting up an urban insect farm.
Gaurav Shah – Mumbai
Insight Consultant
Gaurav is a Unilever Accredited research consultant who has been associated with Qualitative Research over the past 15 years. With an M.B.A in marketing, Gaurav has headed research and strategy teams in several agencies. His love for qualitative research stems from its ability to blend cross-disciplinary facets (linguistics, symbolism, sociology, psychology, culture, anthropology) with business and strategic elements. Outside work, he is a musician with a deep interest in harmony, a vinyl collector and loves scuba diving. He turned from being a full-time consultant in 2015 to balance his passion for qualitative research and music, and in turn, contribute with insightful strategy and nuanced subtlety.
Sophie Bradford – New York
Associate Director
With an MA in Classical Archaeology, Sophie is adept at identifying cultural insights from a social science perspective. Sophie started her career at KantarTNS before joining BAMM in 2014 to work on innovation and breakthrough methodologies. Sophie leads her team on global qual projects and is able to drive all parts of a client brief from start to finish. She has developed a specialism for observation-led methodologies and is passionate about human insights that grow her client’s business. Sophie has successfully been doing this for the likes of Coca-Cola, Under Armour, Digit and Unilever.
Glenn Zimmatore – London
Creative Director
Glenn grew up with a keen interest in film & animation. He has directed music videos for labels such as Bella Union and 4AD, his work premiering on major music blogs and MTV. He also worked at BBC blast, honing his skills for documentary film-making. At BAMM Glenn acts as creative director, steering major international accounts and using his film-making nous to bring findings to life in BAMM's signature style.

Hélène Jeunet – London
Creative Executive
Hélène started her career mainly working as a videographer for news companies and charities in France and the U.K. Having studied literature at La Sorbonne (Paris) , journalism at LCC (London) and then specialising in documentary film-making, she has always been chasing narratives around humans and their life experiences.
Recently, she has been working on her own documentary project advocating for the human rights of displaced and disenfranchised people on both sides of the English Channel, across which she splits her time.
She believes that strong story telling and powerful images can be achieved in a humanistic approach that is not often found in mainstream media.
At Bamm, Helene now uses her filmmaking and editing skills to create innovative and meaningful video content.
Tom Ford – New York
Creative Director
Tom has directed and photographed his way around the globe shooting documentaries, commercials, and fashion films for the likes of Gucci, Strava and Unilever; beating the likes of Droga 5 and Contra to awards in the process. At BAMM Tom heads up the creative team in NY, using his array of filmmaking experience to deliver insight and production work, in new interesting ways.
Amy Zainfeld – New York
Senior Operations Manager
Amy is an experienced Operations Manager with an M.A. in Consumer & Social Psychology who pivoted from a long career in Advertising into Research & Insights. She is motivated and persistent in her pursuit to deliver clients the highest quality deliverables on time, on budget and always with a smile. While not developing project timelines, Amy is building out travel itineraries; on the quest to explore new cultures through food and photography.
Cristina Viladomiu Noguer – New York
Research Manager
With a background in international development and anthropology, Cristina’s passion lies in understanding people and culture in all its dynamism and interdisciplinary nature. Brought up in Spain, she moved to the UK to study at university. Her interest in economic, political and cultural anthropology and ethnography led to her research path at BAMM. Passionate about what makes people tick, she has previously worked in brand strategy, innovation and social listening with leading global brands. She has also done extensive research on identity in cultural heritage and on inequality, which led her to projects in Haiti and Myanmar. On the weekends you can find Cristina embracing all that London has to offer, always trying to discover her new favourite food spots in town.
Lola Godeau – London
Research Manager
Her research ranges from better understanding the practice of female genital cutting (FGC) to energy challenges in African megacities. Lola is an avid photographer, passionate about observing and documenting the nitty-gritty of what makes us human. She grew up in Paris and moved to London to study anthropology and law.
Alex Marshall – London
Senior Research Executive
His interest in research started while studying Human Geography at Durham University, collecting & analysing data for a wide variety of projects. He has a passion for analysis and storytelling through visualising data. For BAMM, he hopes to blend hard data science with visual creativity & provide insights to clients in interesting and engaging ways. In his spare time, Alex likes watching the football or going to music festivals.
Sarah Cziner – New York
Senior Research Associate
With a BA in Psychological Science and Sociology from Colgate University, Sarah is passionate about understanding lived experiences, especially those that take people out of their comfort zones. Sarah began her career at BAMM in 2020, employing online and in-person moderation, ethnographic, and analytical skills that get to the heart of nuanced cross-cultural consumer insights, with specific expertise of the Gen Z audience. She has implemented these skills across projects for key global brands like Facebook, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Samsung. Outside of work, Sarah can be found venturing outside of NYC to find the best hiking spots and nature preserves.
Jonny Gingold – London
Senior Quantitative Analyst
Jonny joined BAMM in July 2021. Jonny is an experienced quantitative researcher specialising in brand and advertising research across a wide range of sectors. Jonny takes pride in delivering story led and impactful presentations helping companies identify areas for improving business and advertising performance. Away from work Jonny enjoys the outside life - music festivals, camping, pub lunches and the countryside.
Harry Heath – London
Junior Project Manager
Harry grew up with a keen interest in film & production. He has worked within the film industry, coordinating shoots for many big brands and projects. At BAMM Harry works as a Junior Project Manager - working alongside the PM to deliver clients the highest quality deliverables on time and on budget as well as bringing in valuable insights from his creative background. Outside of BAMM, in true comic book fashion, Harry rips off his formal work attire to lace up a pair of boots and tights as he squares off against his opponents within the world of Professional Wrestling.
Emma Coleman – London
Research Executive
Emma graduated from the University of Bath with a BA in Spanish & Politics, and a particular interest in the politics of development in Africa and South America. Emma is passionate about uncovering market nuances within multinational studies, and previously specialised in delivering insights about youth culture and emerging generations for companies such as Google, LEGO and Airbnb. Outside of work, Emma loves exploring London and travelling to new countries.
Prerana Srungaram – London
Project Manager
Prerana has worked at BAMM since 2019 having started off as a Production Manager and overlooking the creative team. She has moved over to handle project management across both research and creative projects. She comes with a background in Film, Television & American Studies and having worked across many styles of creative film work on both agency and client sides. Outside of BAMM, you’ll find Prerana watching the newest TV shows (bonus if subtitles are involved) and leading the BAMMerhead Sharks with Emily during Softball season!
Carolyn Fahrner – New York
Research Associate
Carolyn recently graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore College with a B.A. in Philosophy and Social Psychology. Her academic work on understanding how societal structures impact behavior and emotion led her to qualitative research. At BAMM, Carolyn supports team members in collecting, analyzing, and presenting qualitative data. Outside of work, Carolyn is a singer/songwriter, producer, and plays gigs throughout New York City.
Emma Wolkenstein – New York
Research Associate
Emma is a recent graduate of Pace University with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and Communication Studies and a minor in Politics. Her academic work focused primarily on political anthropology and her undergraduate thesis on young voters in a post-Brexit UK is published in the Journal for Undergraduate Ethnography. At BAMM, her work is to get to the human truth and all its cultural nuances through qualitative research and analysis. After work, Emma is trying to plan her next adventure, whether to one of the seven Wonders of the World or a new yoga class around the block.
Abby Kolenbrander – New York
Research Manager
She is passionate about uncovering interesting insights into how people think and behave, and applying these insights to client challenges. On the weekends Abby is likely found somewhere out in nature - hiking, camping, climbing, skiing, or paddle boarding, depending on the season.
Anna Dobson – London
Research Director - Quant
Anna has built her research skills from a foundation of psychology and a love of exploring what makes people tick. She helps clients layer ideas, hypotheses and inspiration with research and cultural insights to drive strong strategic planning. Before joining BAMM, Anna worked in media agency insight teams and client marketing teams and has a strong focus on creating insight that can be actioned upon by multiple stakeholders.
Dinisha Cherodian – London
Research Director - Qual
Dinisha a Research Director. With over 15 years experience in qualitative research, she loves to help clients solve their complex strategic problems and bring them closer to their target audience. She has a wide range of experience across sectors including FMCG, finance, tech and healthcare. Outside of work you will most likely find Dinisha trudging across fields on a wet dog walk, or trying out the latest bar/cafe/restaurant in South London.
Nicole Harris – London
Creative Executive
Nicole studied Film and Media Production at the Brit School and has had a colourful career in TV Post Production, working on exciting shows for companies like Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC and many more. At BAMM she uses her editing skills to create engaging and insightful video content. She believes storytelling presented in the form of video is the most powerful way to captivate and offer insight to an audience. Outside of work you’ll most likely find Nicole exploring the latest art exhibits around London.
Sophie Hatch – New York
Junior Creative
Sophie joined BAMM in 2022. She recently graduated from Skidmore College where she studied English Literature and Documentary Film. As a Junior Creative, Sophie works alongside team members to produce digital media content that captures BAMM’s work in the field and brings their research to life. Sophie has spent many summers leading canoe and camping trips and continues to enjoy getting out in nature during her free time.
Melchior Tamisier-Fayard – New York
Research Associate
Melchior joined BAMM in Fall 2022, applying his academic background in ethnography and qualitative research to better understand consumer experiences and drive in-depth analysis on individuals and groups alike, with a focus on the socio-cultural impacts of technology. He has put these tools to practice in projects concerning Google Android, the Metaverse, and Facebook. In his spare time, Melchior will be working on whatever new passion project he has his heart set on, whether it be a new sport, graphic design, or a musical undertaking.
Anuja Gupta – London
Research Director
She is passionate about partnering with her clients in answering strategic business questions and helping them grow great brands! She believes in uncovering the story behind data and numbers and weaving meaningful and actionable brand and strategic insights! She has worked with clients across different categories like LEGO, Diageo, AMEX, World Gold Council, BT, British Gas, Zurich and the list goes on! For her research is not just about numbers - it is about people and the stories they want to hear from the brands around them! Outside work she is most likely to be in a yoga studio working on her mindfulness! She also loves to go to art galleries and museums!
Ruth Brecher – London

Ruth started her career helping build several award-winning web communities and established one of the UK’s first SEO agencies. With a passion for all things People, she went on to a career spanning many years developing deep expertise in Culture, Wellbeing and Employee Engagement. Her role at BAMM is the shaping and delivery of a dynamic People strategy creating a high-performance environment where our team can grow, flourish and work to their best potential.
Victoria Landell Mills – London
Research Executive
Victoria read International Relations at King's College War Studies Department and graduated in 2020. Since then she has worked in two small research agencies, and has discovered her love for cultural Semiotics. Her favourite projects are multimarket studies, since mapping global trends and comparing consumer cultures within categories fascinates her. She believes that despite the global homogenisation of society, we must endeavour to appreciate one another's unique perspectives, which are always rooted in history and geopolitics. Outside of work you’ll most likely find Victoria in a forest admiring mosses and lichens as a (very) amateur Bryologist.
Hester Depel – London
Senior Research Executive
Hester came to BAMM having spent several years in the world of kids, family and youth research, as well as a stint teaching high schoolers in rural France. Originally with a background in anthropology, she has an insatiable curiosity for uncovering the weird and wonderful ways people think and behave around the world. Outside of work she can be found practising martial arts or hunting down the best taco restaurants in London.
Matthew Berkley – London
Senior Research Executive
Matthew studied Political Science at San Francisco State University, managing political campaigns in the Bay Area for a time. His passion for unearthing people's stories and drawing narratives out of wider societal trends has led him to his role as Senior Research Executive at BAMM. Outside of work, you'll find Matthew on a run, complaining about the San Francisco 49ers to whoever will listen, or burying his head in a good book at the pub.
